hey, i was wondering what the longest mp3/midi sequences i can have/email to my vx 7000 is. anyone know?

Depends completely on the bitrate... The higher the quality the shorter the file. The phone seems to have room for about a 4-5 minute song, but your ringer will only go about 30 seconds before voice mail gets it...

so the voicemail ringing will only last 30 sec? anyway to adjust that?

Nope... Voicemail is designed to answer the phone when you don't. So if you don't pick up within 30 seconds, the phone figures you are not going to answer. It's just like a home answering machine that only rings 4 times and then answers. 30 seconds is an 'unofficial' time, but anything beyond that will almost never be heard.

Actually, you can have it adjusted. Call Verizon and ask them to give you more rings before the call goes to voicemail. They can give you more, or even take some away if you would want them to.

I found out empirically (by sending a largish file over email -- still struggling with cable issue, as far I'm concerned VX6000 cables DO NOT FIT the VX7000, or if so please be explicit about what has to be filed down ;>))
that 350k is the limit for saving (albeit not for playing) a sound (*.mid) file.
