The cable you see listed as PCB113LBE on website are in fact the PCB133LBE thats why the D500 isn't listed.

My PC is XP but the box itself is old and doesn't have any BT adapters so I think i'll be going for the usb cable but just wanna make sure im not gonna be left not being able to do certain things. My main thing will be to swap jpegs/movies/games from phone to pc or vice versa.

You can use both to send java games, movies, pictures and mp3's to your phone. The only difference is that the USB cable is faster:
BT = 41KB/s
USB = 112.5KB/s

oh okay. Im being a sod now by enquiring about the IRda (in noob alert thread).
If the usb cable does the job and isn't too expensive i think this seems easiest.

the usb should be cheaper than the bt. get a bt only if you have to transfer stuff frequently and/or you can't be bothered plugging in stuff.
