i absolutely love my d500! who doesnt? but the problem i've been struggling with through these past days is transferring files from the pc to the d500!
is it possible to transfer files using a "samsung data cable" to the d500? or must i go out and buy a blue tooth and a blue tooth dongle???
Please help!

yes you should be able to transfer files, what program are you using to transfer them?

im using easy studio, when i connect it to easy studio it always appears offline for some odd reason?

are you sure you have the right cable? You can also wap it over if you are having difficulties via cable.

hi there!,just reading your post,
trust me cos i have a d500 too - get a bluetooth dongle it works fine transfering data from your p.c to the d500
ive transferred pictures,music etc etc with great ease

that may be the problem. I am not 100% sure but I think you need to get a different data cable for the D500. Datacables vary from phone series (not all phones can use the same cable)

Yep the D500 uses a different cable. The PCB113LBE.

Don are you sure this is compatible? it's just that when you look at the cable's details on the site, the D500 does not show as a supported phone.
Its strange, as you see the cable when you click on the accessories for the D500 but im not so sure it's supported (or maybe they just haven't updated their site?).
BTW could someone explain (other than speed) what the difference would be between the BT dongle and the USB cable? can one do something the other can't, i've heard rumors the BT doesn't let you load java games.
My PC is XP but the box itself is old and doesn't have any BT adapters so I think i'll be going for the usb cable but just wanna make sure im not gonna be left not being able to do certain things. My main thing will be to swap jpegs/movies/games from phone to pc or vice versa.
