eBay.com and search e316 usb cable. Around 10 bucks, then download EasyGPRS from the Samsung page.

For external display, when someone calls you.. you can have external picture display. But to have a permanent customized picture requires modding.
There are ways to put stuff on your external display however it requires some serious modding. If you are not experienced in modding I wouldnt recommend playing around with the external display.
