Hi, does any one know whether i can use the usb shipped with the phone to transfer large file to the miniSD card in mpx220? I want to use the phone as the card reader/writer so that if I have a mp3 or other files that need to be put to the miniSD card, I don't need a miniSD card reader. I am asking this question to decide whether i need to buy a miniSD to SD adapter or reader in order to upload files to the miniSD card.

thank you!

I dont have a card yet... but I do not see why you couldnt.

You are just asking if you can sync to your pc, and then store data onto the sd card while it's in the phone correct?

If so.. and the only reason you want the phone is for a card reader, and to store/transfer data.. then maybe USB thumbdrives would be an easier (and much much cheaper) solution?

Hi, Thank you for your reply. My previous contract is done. I am considering to get a new phone. Since this mpx220 can serve as a mp3 player. I plan to buy more memory. So I am thinking if I can use this phone to load the data into the miniSD card, I don't need to get another miniSD reader. In this way, I can load the songs and files only using this phone.

You can use it as external storage, and will appear as a connected device. The data transfer speed is ok, if you set it and leave it for a while.

ok yes you can use the cable but the transfer is kinda slow the reader on ebay is cheep and faster i transfer 100MB into the miniSD in less that 3 min and the same file i took using the usb and it lake like 10 min or more so in other words it will work
