Hello,
Firstly, I attempted to do a search of the T-Mobile forum for an answer to my query, but unfortunately when I clicked on the headlines that appeared a message stated that the web page could not be found.
Anyway, I have a Motorola V551 cell phone that I have brought across from Cingular to T-Mobile and I would like to configure the WAP settings. I have tried using the t-zones settings provided at T-Mobile.com but I cannot get the WAP browser to load. I have put my SIM card back into my Sony Ericsson T300 to ensure I have WAP access, and WAP works fine.
Could somebody please send me the correct settings and state how they need to be entered into a Motorola V551 cell phone?
(I know the general location within the V551 but I would like to ensure I am getting the IP address, APN name, Data Bearer etc. information entered into the correct cells under 'Web Sessions').
Regards and thanks,
Ben

a thanks goes out to jdwme for reminding me that the OTA Device Configurator can be accessed by anyone with internet, you dont even have to call cust care to use it.
go to:
https://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/tmobileUS/ota_support/
if the link doesnt work, go to the t-mobile homepage and search for 'device configurator' and you should be able to find the link that way too.
the tool is very easy to use and self-explanatory. put in your phone #, choose your model phone (if it isnt listed you need to call cust care and get to tech or wireless data), then just follow the instructions. it doesnt even take 5 mins.

the outline is great, but I don't have a web access under settings. Maybe I'm overlooking it or is it in another section?

Just use Dotac, to configure
https://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/tmobileUS/ota_support/
you will not have to look for the wap settings on your phone you will get a browser message, follow the easy to use instructions and it will configure for you.

TmobileUSA03, do the settings that you provided allow you to download ring tones, access "My Settings" within T-Zones etc?

I also have a V551 that I moved from Cingular to T-Mobile. I have tried the manual menthod and T-Mobile Motorola Configurator. The configurator does not have V551 as a choice . I triee other Vs, V330 and V525 and V600. None worked. I did configure the phone also manually, but I am still getting a blank deck . I canot even send SMS messages (can get them just fine) !.
Any help would be much, much appreciated!
