I need help, whenever i install mp3's and playlists in my nokia 6230 using infrared from pc to phone, i always encounter the error "invalid tracklist" whenever i choose differen play lists. i already refreshed the tracks in my phone but i still enounter the error.
how may i fix this?does the nokia 6230 support playlists using .m3u extensions?

Yes, it does.
But you should open the m3u-file with a texteditor and check for the driveletters in front of the mp3s.
wrong:
f:\folder\filename.mp3
filename.mp3
right:
b:\folder\filename.mp3
b:\filename.mp3
The driveletter has to be b: because the phone recognizes the cards as drive b:
Than it should work.

can't you just edit it using a standard text editor (such as notepad) on your pc before you send it to the phone?

go to windows explorer.
navigate through your hard disk to where the playlist file is located.
right click on the file and select "Open With..."
in the new dialog box that appears, scroll down the list and select notepad and click OK button.

I dont think it works, whenever i do that, notepad shows symbols only. pls help

hmmm... if its a standard playlist created by something like winamp then it would be in plain text. how did you create the playlist?

i used the nokia pc suite...my phone plays the mp3s with out a problem but it cant recognize playlists...

i'm mystified in that case. if the pc suite created the playlist then it should play in the phone. i just assumed you ahd created playlist in something like winamp
