I am tring to connect to the internet with my dial up account and an oem data cable. I called cingular and asked to have CSD enabled ( circut Switch Data) they said they no longer do that. is there anything else i can do to use my dial up. there data plan cost way to much

Call back. I just had them turn on the CSD 1-28-05, for my MPx220. They had a hard time doing it but gave me another telephone number. Now my phone can be reached by both my old number and the one they just gave me.

Hint, Hint, use the phrase laptop connect.
Lol, they will look it up in their knowledge base and should be able to direct you better.
(sorry, I'm a cingular employee, and if i had more info this second I would give you more. I'll look into it on Monday some more for you, but you should give care another call, you may be able to solve it before i get back to you!)

Well i did call them i told them to look in the laptop connect and i called 2 other times about the csd, they said nobody in any market has csd enabled with out buying the data plan. I hope one of you guys can tell me what else to do.
