Sup y'all. My phone has been struggling lately, possibly because of dropping the phone a few times.
Anyhow, the problem I have is that when I open my phone, instead of a visible screen popping up, a white screen with nothing but white is displayed. How can I fix this?

I'm 99% sure the screen is blank from dropping it. Try taking the battery off the phone w/o powering the phone off first. If that doesn't fix it, see if you have insurance. There is a 50 dollar deductable. Kelly

True. I tried the battery thing, and sometimes it worked. And so i just gave up. But then after a period of like a month, all of a sudden one day my screen worked again. But now after two more weeks, the screen's all white and I tried taking out the battery, turning the phone on and off. Are there any other options or is it time for me to go to the service center?

Hey... Your symptoms sound the same as mine... My phone would show a white screen or have Matrix like writing across the top... most of the screen would be covered with this white writing... I fixed it a few times... Sometimes I would just wait (as you did) and it would come back... but today it was doing it again and all I did was leave the screen open and wait for the power saver to turn it off then push a button after the screen goes blank and it was restored... try that... and sometimes opening and closing it helps...

If it's preventing it from working verizon techs should fix it or replace the phone for no additional charge and without insurance.

I have a similar problem with my LG VX9800. I searched and found this on Wikipedia: "The display screens may go white after some time. This happens when the videocard on the phone shorts out. When this happens the phone usually must be replaced, but sometimes after a while the phone will come back by itself."
