Just wanted to thank Watrous 4 & elmo 01 for the excellent information on unlocking & setting up an internet connection for my cingular & AT&T Nokia 6620. I can now use both phones with my cingular account or AT&T account.

I'm trying to unlock my Cingular 6620. I got the unlock code from Cingular but I'm not sure if I've entered it correctly because nothing happens when I enter it.
The CSR gave me this number: 003563732351726
Which I entered as: #pw+003563732351726+1#
I've entered quite a few other codes, some give me "code error" while others produce no result.
Any help would be much appreciated.

^If the code that the CSR gave you didn't work after 2 tries, contact Cingular again.
If you guys entered the wrong codes 5 times, it becomes hard locked. You must have the phone flashed to reset the firmware. Acquiring unlocked codes from free sites are always a risk. That's why it is always better to have it done "professionally".

How would I know if it worked or not though? I got the impression that if it required a "hard" unlock I'd be getting the "code error" no matter what I tried.

I also wanted to give my thanks. I went to the "http://unlock.nokiafree.org/" website, did the dierections as was given, and put in the first code... I even had my Cingular SIM in the phone while I entered the code, and it unlocked it on the first try.
Thanks for the suggestion to use the first code for the 6610 phone, and to use "original" in the gen field. I was at a loss until I read that post. And was skeptical. But I figured I had a few more tries left.
Anyway, thanks again, and yes it worked for me.
