Hi - as u seem to b a bit of an expert on the D500 thought I'd ask for your help
I've had mine for about 1 month (bought from ebay - unlocked from orange) - I'm with o2. Had no probs at all up until a week ago - when I had a limited service display and couldn't do anything with the phone. I can now recieve and send texts but can't make or receive calls. Phone works ok with Orange SIMs but not O2! I stupidly bought an unlocking code (which it turns out just resets the phone according to your list of codes). Do you have any other ideas how to resolve this problem? Really appreciate any advice you can give!
I am just wondering have you found a solution for this yet. If you have could you PLZ! email me at
Craig_roberts01@hotmail.com
Thank You!

hi all
i am very new to this whole thing...
the fone i have is a D500 its locked to Vodafone (i think, cos i only accepts Vodafone sim cards)
here is wot im stuck on...
i got the program called Winimei ( the one to change the Imei number) i've got the serial data cable wit the 9v connector.
wen i load the program.. select the model (D500) then the country UK (org) it says.
then wen i change the Bluetooth No. i input the new number, then confirm, then wen i click it again.. it goes back to 000001. then i input it again.. then click to wrt bt id.. it goes into tat mode and eveything fine.. but then a message comes up
"to change bluetooth address is fail"
"fail in receiving the CREQ(0x49)
any ideas.. i check the Bluetooth number again.. and it has gone bk to the 000001 setting.. everytime i put in the new one, and click confirm.. it still shows the 000001.
help needed plz!!
thanks
Jimmy

hi craig, the only thing i can think of is checking the settings, there should be something bout operator services that i would recommend u leave on AUTO, but if the sim only works well with orange, i guess it isnt really fully unlocked from that particular network.[/quote]

Hi all,
My D500 is blocked on O2, and i have tried following the steps posted on page 5 of this thread. I have the 9v power cable and the WriteIMEI software.
The first stages, involving entering your phones bluetooth id and entering TAT mode work fine. After that it gets a little bit complicated.
I assume that when it says input your phones IMEI you are supposed to use the IMEI printed on the back of the phone? I click New --> enter this IMEI --> Write IMEI --> enter the key generated by the keygend and click Ok and then...
The program stops responding, like it is doing some form of activity for a little while and then displays a large red FAIL box in the top left with the following message...
Fail in entering the TAT mode!
Fail in receiving the CREQ(0x49)
Wait for entering the TAT mode!
But yet it has no problem establishing the TAT mode according to the phone, or when im attempting to change the BT ID
Any input appreciated! Thanks all
