Hey guys, I purchased an unlocked Samsung D500 off of eBay. When I got the phone I put in my SIM card and the phone worked perfectly. My only problem is that the signal quality is quite poor compared to other Cingular phones including my last phone (Motorola). I'm not talking about poor signal quality in one specific geographical area, just in general, other people will have 4 bars and I'll have no service. If anyone has any info on how I might be able to resolve this it would be greatly appreciated.

I was also wondering if anyone has the correct settings to set up the internet on this phone for Cingular and if this particular phone has any option to have the clock automatically sync with Cingular (when I switch time zones and what not).

Thanks!

Hi!

I have registerd because i too was looking for the ''#7465625*638*code'' but NOT ANYMORE! I have broke the code, there is another way to disable the network lock, USING A CODE .. it is this code #7465625*28638# .. so every unlock and lock code works but you have to typ the code 28 before the last 3 digits.. Hope this helps, you'll see that the network code will be disabled icon_biggrin.gif

i got my orange d500 today, its a sgh-d500 and i was wondering is there any cost-free way of unlocking it simply by the good old way of a code? i looked at the codes above. i would be VERY gratefull if someone could just specify the right one for my phone and what the negative sideaffects of doing this would be!
i would be VERY VERY grateful if anyone could help asap?
thanks

Hello. I have a D500 and live in Spain so using a Spanish Vodafone SIM. Every time I try to send an MMS it comes up with either DNS Error message or Email network fail. I havent asked it to send an Email and I dont know what DNS has got to do with sending an MMS. In fact these messages come up all the time and I cant get rid of them. Its a longshot but does anyone else have a Vodafone SIM in Spain who also has a Samsung?? All I want to do is send an MMS! why is everything so complicated icon_ermm.gif
