Like everyone else it seems, I do not get the relavence of the "Code" in the code for unlocking from Orange.
#7465625*638*Code#
In a previous message someone suggested entering #*7337#, which I have tried. Most codes like this, I have found that as soon as you press the last # something will happen ... in this case, nothing happens?
I have done #*7337# and pressed 'green', still nothing?
This was all with my Orange SIM in.
What I am after is the ability to put my old Vodafone SIM in my Orange D500 so that I can transfer my (somewhat extensive) address book to my new phone. Both phones are contract, if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance for any information that helps me on this.

your phone is probably the later version and cant be unlocked with that code....try an unlocking clip...failing that flash with unbranded firmware...best option!

It's literally out of the box this morning and I have no experience with it whatsoever. What is an 'unlocking clip', etc.,?

you can buy them to unlock the network lock on your phone....look on google.
Or go to your local market and those dodgy guys unlock them for £5.
Otherwise you have to buy a serial cable for your phone and find in this forum some 'fimware' you can download to remove the orange branding from your phone....

Hello, I have got most things working well on my D500. I was just wondering if there is any way that I can download other filetypes to my phone (without changing the file extension!) It would be handy to be able to download word documents and stuff to my phone through the file manager!

Is it possible to lock the keypad when playing mp3s? Also it may be a bit of a pipe dream but is there any way videos could be played full screen maybe even in landscape. Perhaps using a java program as these run full screen...

Hi, I have been tinkering with the D500 codes and have managed to mess uyp my bluetooth.
I entered the bluetooth test code and now dont seem to be able to search for devices or gain a connection to my PC.
Could anyone help with the matter?
Thanks in advance.
