This just didn't start happen until my contract was up with ATT. It seems like after talking with a lot of people in my area that are former att customers that they started haveing all kinds of different problems to dropped phones calls to other things, I was starting to wonder if it was Cingular forceing those people to buy a new phone so that they would have to become cingular customers.

I can answer general questions, but I do have a limit on what I can do (no account specific information!)
I've looked around the posts a little bit, and it seems alot of people are confused, so feel free to email me, and I'll do whatever I can to help! | I have a t721 motorola that I was using with at&t before and now I have cingular what can I do to be able to make work with my new provider.

rather than focusing on others... focus on your issue...
your original concern was the inability to have a conversation at 10 pm on thursdays... that is a service specific issue (meaning your phone or phone number)..
have you changed your phone (put you sim in a different device at all?
have you checked *all* the settings on your phone...
try resetting to factory settings and see if your anomaly stays
I cannot see this as being an issue with the system...

call customer care...1-866-293-4634...tell them you dont want to migrate...you want a replacement phone for your current service... you will keep your plan...albeit a contract extention...but it is possible

I'm trying (with no success) to get unlock info for my AT&T cing Blue V505. Cing says "AT&T policy still in effect for AT&T phones/subscribers, regardless of Cingular Policy" (which is to give out the code after 90 days) - so what IS the AT&T policy. and why WON'T they unlock it, or what is the secret to getting them to give out the code?
thanks - dagnome

Dagnome-
Workinga as an ATT rep, I've never gotten anyone to give any unlocking information from our Tech Desk and I'm a rep. I've searched all our systems and I cant find any unlocking information for any ATT phones. Sorry to say, but you are not going to have any luck getting that phone unlocked with us.
I'd suggest posting on the Motorola forum asking for unlocking info for the V505, or you might just want to try to google it.

I have been an AT&T wireless customer since 1998 or 99. I have a v600 right now which works fine. My service has deteriorated in some areas where it used to be good. I have been told by customer care that I will get better reception if I switch to cingular. I'm willing to do this. My problem is that the only new phone I would want is a Razr. If I bought it at Best Buy with a Cingular contract I would pay 69.99 from the BB website or 99 in the store. Customer care is offering it to me as a long time customer for 199.99. That hurts! Especially since I am considering switching because of service problems here is Boston. Being easily offended, I would rather keep my v600. My contract ends in July. I can get my phone unlocked locally. After all that set up, here is my question: If I just use my V600 can I get a Cingular SIM card without having to extend my contract? Then when Cingular drops the price, eventually, I will buy a new phone and extend my contract.
Thanks,
Pat
