What Pls or M3u software does everyone recommend with the 3300? Thanks in advance.. I am trying to figure this out..

You can create a playlist file (.pls) or a .m3u file through the winamp audio player. once you have the songs in the playlist, just click on Save As and save the file as a PLS or M3U file.

That's the file you're looking for.

Please read post: 178647 by me above titled "Directory Structure" about the file syntax and formating, for further details. It tells you exactly what to do with regard to the formating for the file itself to work on a 3300 Musicphone. (It's applicable for all Musicphones, but I've tested it out extensively on the 3300).[/url]

Is the "main" directory the music folder? What is m3u and pls?
Once songs are loaded into a playlist, how do you open with notepad or wordpad?
Basically I need a step by step on how to load as many songs as I can on my brand new 1GB mmc.

Dude, just take a look at the 6'th post on page 2 of this topic.

I do not wish to re-write the same steps again.

Just follow it step-by-step. It's completely fool-proof, so as long as you follow it exactly, you will not face any problems.

As for understanding what m3u and pls are, you can refer once again to the same post since I have explained it there. Or just do a search for nullsoft forums for the information. Google will aslo be of great help.

You can open them in notepad only after you have 'saved' the playlist someplace.
