what is the best mp3 ringtone setting to decrease distortion?
i downloaded a mp3 ringtone from the cingular site and it sounds really crisp, but i noticed on songs that i upload from my computer with a fair amount bass it gets really distorted.
is there a good program out there where i can mess with an equalizer to make it sound better through the phone??? thanks!

Using iTunes, I'm sure you can adjust these settings with other recording software packages, I record the files with these specs: 32Kbps (constant bitrate); 22.05 KHz sampling rate; Mono tone
Hope this works well for you.

use winamp to transfer into .wav open sound recorder, then edit, save wav use audiocatalyst (download from bearshare) to convert back to .mp3 and then u can do all the low setting need for phone! crisp clear, sounds just like the ones from cingular.com
