has anyone else had a problem with fast battery drainage after editing your phone. My V505 used to take about three days to discharge with constant use, now its draining dead in a day. yes the battery save is enabled and the display is still set to time out after 2 min. just like before. Surely the battery isnt going bad after just a few months...
any ideas on what may be draining this battery so quickly?
*edit* come to think of it...I think the display used to go out when I was talking on it, it doesnt do that now. It is always on while I am on the phone. Im not sure.....

That is one of the few things that we have over look. When you mod the hec out of that fone to maximized it potential what would you expect? you ring tone is 4 time louder so di your speaker feature, more tex display everything else is more so i say yes it will eat up battery a little

Did you by chance open the advanced network settings and mess around in there? I found that pointing the phone at a certain network and changing its network detection rate murdered my battery life, i ended up setting everything to default and turning the advanced network menu off.

This is kinda off topic but... BigDaddy, do you have the original v505 seems before you edited them? If you do I'd like to get 'em from ya since I lost mine in my last reformat

Im sure I do, but I have so many that are modded, I forgot which is the original. I woulnt know which is which anymore without loading it into the phone. I guess I m not being much help.
Appreciate the other tips from everyone, and yes, I do expect it to drain a little more, but DAMN!! I have to to charge it if I plan on partying that night, otherwise it will go dead later in the night!

Determines how frequently the phone checks the towers for a better signal basically, if it finds one with stronger reception it switches you to it.
