If Verizon Wireless buys out Sprint PCS, then you should be able to get out of your current contract for good...
research the internet about Verizon Wireless buying out Sprint PCS... hope this is happening soon...

the best way to get out it is to do a change of financial responbility where someone takeing over your phone and get a new plan
meanning to put the phone from your name in theres name at no cost too you
as long as you can find someone who want vzw service
the best way is to do this is too give the phone away for free or a small price that would help you do it faster
hope this helps you
aloha from hawaii and this work for all phone carriers

if you can get out of a contract, the question becomes why you need to. areyou having coverage issues?
getting out of a contract is hard, as it should be. it is a contract. verizon doen't make changes to customers accounts so you probably are not going to do well with trying that avenue. the only time a change takes place is when it is customer requested and per volauntary compliance regulations, you know that this would be the case and would havereceived a letter confirming the change that was verified at the time of the requested change (essentially you get double notified so that there is no question that you generated the request).
so, it is really a matter of why you wantto do it. if your home residence has poor coverage, call and talk to tech support, if it is established that you have a poor area, verizon wil let you out of the contract as it is verizons beleif that that is our obligation. you have to call tech support though for this to happen and likely and engineer will look at our verify that it is bad via a trouble ticket.
i it's for any other reason, you in for a tough road, which it should be since it is a contract and the copany loses money whan contracts are broken.

Getting out of service providers contracts are not that hard.... yes what JSS says is prob true. The obvious answer to this question... with any service provider is the old COR (change of responsibility). There are much easier ways to get out but some are unethical (im sure the verizon CSR's will know what I mean by this).

maui-i know that and since you had already said that, i was offering another perspective. the liability name change is the obvious way to go and i full agree. when i posted, i didn't see a reason to repeat what you said so i just added my 2 cents sans the AOS info cuz it would be repetitive.

i fear that was what our thread starting friend was looking for and i figure it isn't for me to say what that would be.
