Computer now locks up as soon as I plus ANYTHING in the USB port.
It all started when I got Mobile Phone Tools v3.07. It seemed to work just fine. That is, for everything BUT games. So, I used MPTv3.07 for my screensaver, my ringtones & for my background pic.
Then, I got PST 7.1.1 and that didn't put games on my phone! So, I got PST 6.7. Do you think that worked? NOPE! So, I just said forget it, and uninstalled all those programs from my computer!
Well, that was a few days ago, and now I tried to use my thumb drive & my printer ( both USB ) and the second I plug them in, WHAMMO, my computer locks up!
Any ideas? ANYONE??
Thanks in advance

Start up your comp.
Press and HOLD F8.
Menu UP. Select "Safe mode"
Restore you comp to the day "IT WAS FINE"
DONE!

Then try to restore it to the newest date you have. Make sure you save any documents you may want to keep.

Not that I know of besides somehow updating your USB drivers or something, that sounds awfully weird if the comp locks up on USB insertion. But did you try starting up the PC in safe mode as earlier suggested? It shouldn't lock up if you do it that way.

Then try uninstalling all the drivers and starting over...I had never heard of this until now...But definately worth trying over.
