I was trying to get into the dialling service->fixed dial and it asked me for a security pin/code.
I enter 000000 (default) and it said invalid. I tried 1234 and it said invalid. I tried 12345678 and it said invalid and "SIM Blocked".
The "SIM Blocked" only show up when I enter into fixed dial and everything is normal.
I use MSS and Motokit to view the security codes and it showed 000000 and 1234. None worked for the fixed dial (worked for everything else).
The "space" to enter the code is 8 character long when unlock is 4 and security is 6.
I have an option to "unblock"
-First screen PIN2 Unlock code (enter anything to get into 2nd screen)
-Enter New SIM PIN2. If I enter anything less than 4 character, it said invalid code, I entered a 4 character long code and it gets into 3rd screen.
-Re-enter New SIM PIN2. I entered the same code in step 2 and got invalid code, try again. SIM BLOCKED.
Any idea how to fix this ?

I too have had the problems - everytime I tried to put a new code in, it said it was invalid. Despite asking for a new code - not the original one.
My sim pin2 is now disabled. Which means I can not turn off fixed dialling.
Am so annoyed. I now have to get O2 to send me a cloned sim card which they seem very resistant to do.
Whats motokit and MSS?

You guys better be very cautious continuing to try to figure out the SimPin2 because if you enter the code too many times being incorrect and then it will start asking for a PUK (Provider Unlocking Code) and if you try to enter that more than 3 times it will fry your SIM and you will no longer be able to use your sim card, even if you do call the provider it wont help because the SIM is useless

Cingular Wireless has boughten out AT&T so you would call Cingular and ask them for a PUK code unlock your cell phone.

if your screen says SIM blocked... that means you have tried more than 10 times to enter an invalid PUK code...you need to call your service provider and obtain a new SIM card... you will also have the joy of paying 25.00 for said card...basically... you're pukked (pardon the pun)

The ways these companies make their money....It's shameful, but yes you should consult the company for the code before randomly guessing what the code is and locking the sim.
