Mine stops at 66 or so. I didn't count the ones that are in my outbox. So I am looking at 100 total.

Im not counting the outbox, if I add that it would be 137 total. Theres only 17 in the outbox right now, just cleaned it out the other day. So I dont know what it would hold total.
I think that 66 is about where it used to stop. Not sure what I did to dedicate so much more space...

If you wanted to hold more I'd imagine saving them to the phone's memory instead of the SIM would allow you to save a TON of messages. Theres a switch <in 0032_0001 i believe> to save SMS etc in the phone memory instead of the SIM. Oddly it looks like my phone is already set to save in the phone, still worth a look I guess.

Haha. You'd be lucky if you can hold more than 15 messages saving it to SIM. Mine is set to 'save to phone' already.

If you are familiar with seem editing, you can use xlr8 codes to enable 'save to phone.'
Or
The easy way is to use the Motorola Tool software and click on 0032_0001 seem box and check the appropriate box to enable 'save to phone'.

There is a very goot tutorial on this site: HOW-TO: SEEM edit with that title I believe you'll find it easy with google.
The tutorial solves exactly your problem while it starts you on the basics of using p2kman.
Mind this: the fist solution for seem 0032:0001 offset 40 bit 6 applies to V3 Black, if you have a more advanced V3, like V3i or V3e the latest post by the moderator is the one to follow, I encourige you to read the 4 pages from the beginnig to know how to use the tools.
