I just purchased a new samsung D500. However I am having problems making the D500 work with my T-mobile sim card. When I put my sim-card in and turn the phone on it stays stuck on a screen that says welcome T-mobile. I think it has something to do with my sim-card being 32k because three of my friends 16k(they have not upgraded in some time) sim cards work on the phone fine, which of coarse pissed me off . I also tried two other 32k sim cards and neither one of them work on my phone. I'm just wondering if anybody else is experiencing these kind of problems with the same phone and service. Alternately, i'm wondering if anybody has a solution to the problem. Anybody who reads this please post something, even if its a "hell, I dont know what youre talking about" i just need some feedback. Thanks

I work for t-mobile and everyone d500 we have sold in my shop has been fine. If you have had the phone less than 28 days take it back to where you got it from and swap for another one. although it may be worth trying your sim card in another new high powered phone just to check your sim card is ok working them. the shop can do it for you if you have no other phone to try.

Well, do you really think the problem lies within the phone? Three other t-mobile sim cards work in the D500 and a cingular sim card. The phone was purchased unlocked off of ebay. Also every review I have read has stated that there is no carrier in the US who offers this phone, therefore there is no way for me to recover any funds or exchange the phone. I even called samsung in the US and they do not offer any kind of help toward the phone simply because it is an overseas phone as they said. I also tried 3 32k sim cards, which none of them work, and 3 16k sim cards in which all of them work. Does anybody have anymore options for me? By the way my sim card works in all of the other phones i have(which are all pretty old, but still work for me). They include nokia 3390, motorola mpx220, microsoft SPV, and a samsung s105. Thanks for your help

Hi,
Just curious if you have resolve your sim card problem? I just purchased the D500 of ebay and is having problems making outgoing call as keypads doesn't work. Seller indicates it has something to do with simcard. And can't find anyone to support me as it is considered an international phone not meant to be sold in the US......appreciate any help I can get.
