I recently purchased this phone. I called att customer svc. for ota wap settings (for sms,mms and browser), they tried sending the settings several times to my phone, but I never received them. Before this I had a Panasonic x70 and they did ota wap settings and I was able to receive them. Did search for mms settings and found it, but what are the settings for browser? Also cust. svc. ask what model motorola I had, I said v600 (which I don't), but is this model the closest to the v690 that cingular/att offer?
Thanks,
Anne

when i had the panasonic x70, att told me that they couldn't help me because i had a phone that wasn't with them, so someone at an att store told me to tell cust svc that i had a model panasonic that was with att

took your advice and called att, told them that i have a v690, the guy did try to help but said that the v690 didnt exist. he said that he went to the motorola website and couldnt find this model and therefore he couldnt help me. He did say something about finding a pathway, do anyone know what this is?

i got my v690 few months ago and spent 2 days google about this phone and finally got the wap and GPRS setting to work on Cingular network. heres the settin for AT&T tell me if it works or not :
- Menu > Browser > Profile
- Pick any profile you like and rename it to 'mMode"
- after rename > Edit
- for "homepage" change it to: http://home
- Session mode > Permanent
- check box for Connection Security
- Data bearer > GPRS > Activate
- IP address > 10.250.250.250
- Authentication type > secure
- username and password will be blank, meaning you have to delete whatever the previous username and password there is.
- then hit back to the profile screen and pick mMode > Activate
and again im not sure it will work since i have cingular and use those information on at&t site.
if u wanna check if it works or not, go to browser > home, or browser > go to address > www.google.com.
If google page show up then everything is working.
