Hey guys my name is Andres Repelin. i have a M.V505 phone thorugh ATT.
my problem is this.. i downloaded the MPT phone tools 3.11 it bombed on me giving me about 4 different errors during the install and did not want to load. so i talked to a friend who advised to start on a later version and then upgrade.. I downloaded the MPT version 1.23c_en
loaded it .. it went ok.
then loaded the update to 2.16_us it loaded. it read my usb cable and installed the drivers. then launched the app, during the launch i cxled all registration and stuff. then opened MPT and then clicked on setup and clicked on LIVE UPDATE.. it went through 7 different updates till i got to 3.11 and then updated me to version 3.19e or f...
here is the main problem after the initial reboots after these updates, it came back up and then i was able to launch MPT and then connect my phone setup my profile and detect my phone!! i saw the image come up and i was able to use it for the entire day.
then all of sudden it started to mess up and lock up on me.. so i rebooted my machine and what happens it does not want to load anymore giving me WINDOWS HAS DETECTED A PROBLEM WITH MPT AND NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN
so i figured by reinstalling it would work again .. well to my surprise it did, only this time i lost all my options under PICTURE LIBRARY, i can no longer edit my media or play music or transfer music files as well as multimedia?? i have tried to reinstall and install several times and nothing works same thing..
I tried this on my laptop at home and same thing .. i dont know why it does not work anymore.. is there a registry key or something i have to remove that im missing????? PLEASE HELP ME>> PLEASE>>>

If it's locked, ican unlock it. If you brick it, I can fix it

You may have D/L Mpt with bugs. Delete them completely D/L again and re install. MPT 3.11 stand alone should work and upgrade to 3.19e

Hey OLD FOOL thanks man..
Im going to try that now.. i just dont understand how it worked on the original install and after that it keeps on..
do you know where i can get my stuff from..
i have tried this website..

error 1406 could not write value versionminor kto key \products\b21788fc3a611a546b5ce8c60d04e816\installproperties verify that you have sufficient access to thtat key or contact support
that is the first error i get!!!
and then i hit retry and same thing then i hit ignore and get the same message but a different key entry..
then i hit ignore onthat and it goes to the install!! and then it will not work right i do not have a live update option or nothing to upgrade..
what do i do..
this is what i get when installing the 3.11 install..
let me know what else i can do or where else i can get it from????

well it installing version 3.11 works only to the point where now i can see the melody's and photos options but it will not allow me to update or upgrade for it to see my modem..
what do i do..

If you open mpt with fone plug in and it'll go thru connecting fone then it'll give you a picture of a fone on your desk top (Fone skin). Click on the menu button of that skin there should be a drop down with live update option.
If you got to initialize and failt, again use that menu and select F6 for general setup--customize--modem exchange--you got the idea there will be a wizard to take you thru just say yes to the first two pop up the third one click on select from list now there is a big box on your left choose motorola GSM on your right scrow down till you find you model 505. now it should work.
