Hi everyone,
The problem i'm having with my phone(sgh-e600) regarding the pc connection still hasn't been resolved, i tried using the EasyGPRS program but no luck there. Using that program requires a person to have a modem to connect to the phone, it asked me to connect mine but i don't have one... Did i download the correct program? because i'm under the impression everyone here has that modem.
Besides that i was hoping someone could help me out with this minor problem i'm having with sending multimedia messages. I want to simply send a picture message to my e-mail account, i follow the manuals instructions but can never manage to successfully send the message. I check the status of the multimedia message once i've sent it, and it states that the sending failed: bad request. Could anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
Thanks for the help

Thanks for your input. I did some more research, and I guess that USB cable will definately not work with this model. To bad. It might support the rs232 connector (if I remember right, though I cannot confirm it), but I guess I'll just go with the IrDa. Thanks again.
Clark Kent:
The "modem" is actually your phone, which can also serve that purpose. It's just the way software (windows) detects your phone.
About that MMS, I don't know a solution, I'm also having problems. When I send an image (photo) to an e-mail, I recieve a file with the .jpg extension, but it's always unreadable. Could there be a data loss, or maybe some strange filetype?
Regards.

erXon,
Thanks for your response. Since my phone is actually the modem, why does the software I’m using (EasyGPRS) prompt me to connect the modem to the computer? Do I need some USB cable to connect my phone to the computer? I'm beginning to think I’m fighting for a lost cause here concerning the data transfers because from reading previous posts by others, they still have problems even with the USB cable at their disposal. I tried transferring data from another phone with IrDa to my phone, but it was unsuccessful.
Concerning the MMS, I’m going to look into that a bit more. I tried sending an image with the .jpg extension to my e-mail account, and I didn’t even receive anything in my e-mail account. Since you received the file, I’m assuming it would go directly to your junk mail because your server could detect that e-mail as junk mail, therefore blocking the image. In order to resolve that problem, you would need to move that e-mail into your inbox in order to change the ‘junk e-mail’ status it has; you should be able to see the image after doing that. I’m not sure if you’ve thought of that already, but I just thought I would mention it just in case you haven’t.
Thanks

You know, that's the problem with Samsung's IrDa. You cannot exchange data between phones. Ironically, you can with PC (works smoothly on friend's laptop, with only EasyGPRS software and no other drivers). Stupid? Indeed.
Concerning the MMS, I'm using an e-mail account on a free server, which probably doesn't block images, because I normally recieve them from other accounts. Trash folder is empty I recieved the file with the .jpg, but it was in code like words & numbers... But unilke normal .jpg if you open it in notepad (yes I tried that too lol). So it's probably the service provider having troubles.... just a guess.
Thanks for advice though.

Nice package, but I need this as soon as possible, so I'll exhaust the local store first
So, it actually should work with USB? Guess than the cables have failed... I'll return them for new ones, they are still 'insured' (if that is the word...). And if that fails, I will buy the USB IrDa (which is the last thing I want, but at least it will work).
I'll post my next samsung 'expirience' after the weekend, looking forward to it already
Regards.

Well, still nothing for me... But, I have a serial data cable from my old T100. It worked fine with T100, but I´m a bit afraid of using it on my e-300.... Is it safe??? A few months ago I wanted to put some mmf-s to my girlfriend´s a800 through that cable, and the phone freezed so I´m afraid that it could freeze the e300 too....

No, they are not compatible. T100 cable is PCB037DBE but E300 need PCB093LBE.

I bought a serial cable from a friend who tried it on his e-330 and it worked fine, but it´s not working for me. I have a MOBILE-MASTER and it can´t find the phone. Also have Easy studio, but older version 1.0. Do you think a 2.0 version could be the solution of my problems. Friend has a 2.0 i think...

Your cable is probably PCB133NSEC since it works on E330. As I said before, you need PCB093LBE for E300.
