I recently bought a "Ambicom" bluetooth USB ADAPTOR". & microsoft intell bluetooth .
I install it and connect it and when I run the software, it recognises and displays my 3650 as a bluetooth device.
However, when I start Nokia PC Suite, it tells me this is the first time it has been used and I must connect my phone.
I have paired a device with my pc and my 3650.
I have clicked on the mRouter icon and ticked all bluetooth ports.
On my phone's display, there is only a dot. It is not in brackets.
As I said, the bluetooth software recognises my phone, but pc suite does not.
I am running Windows XP and am using the both bluetooth devices (the one with 10 metre range).
please help >

i bought my nokia 3650 and bought with it a bluetooth device. in the beggining i faced troubles making it to work then i reed more how to connect it and let the nokia 3650 connect to the pc. i noticed that its sooo easy to connect. the most important this is that ur bluetooth device ( what ever was it kind ) must have a support for SPP (Serial Port Profile)
and after this u can activate the spp and the nokia pc suit that came with the mobile will work perfectly... and also u can use the mobile as modem or fax. many options there and transfering ur pics and vedios.... u can buy any bluetooth device but the remeber that it must support SPP (Serial Port Profile)
thats all |
8th time I post this quote... not that I'm counting...

I had the same problem with my Mitsumi Blue tooth adaptor. Basically, although your bluetooth software recognises your phone, you need to establish a virtual serial port connection with it. The software that came with my dongle did not have this option, so I downloaded new software and drivers off the internet.
Search for a file called:
USB-100.zip
When you ahve downloaded this file, uninstall your bluetooth device and software. Make sure to disconnect it from your computer if it prompts you to, or if not, disconnect it when the uninstallation is finished.
Now install the software you downloaded (USB-100.zip)
When this is finished, connect your bluetooth device to your computer and if your computer does not detect it, go to "add new hardware" in the control panel. It should install using completely different drivers, so don't worry.
