Make sure theres nothing you need on the card then format it and see if that does anything.

Can you put things onto it from your phone? I have heard of people reporting their mmc card said write protected and then finding out it was because there card reader was old. If it doesnt work on your phone either then it's maybe just faulty you could try returning it to the shop you bought it from or samsung. Yeah, I had the same problem with my QD but my card reader was only one day old. Thats it! I am returning it to the store!

I had the same problem with an SD Memory card. I could not delete anything on the card without getting the "this disk is write protected error."
Solution: I used a little piece of Scotch tape to hold the switch on the side of the adapter in place while I inserted the card into the reader. Works perfect now.
hope it helps

problem is not with ur mmc card its with the card reader.there is a switch at the side of the reader slot.may thas not working properly.try with another card reader or try to correct the switch.
