Daily when people try to call my phone a message says this phone is disconnected, and it is not. Sometimes it takes 6 times to call or more before getting through. Is this happeing to anyone else? I called T-mobile and they said it isn't the phone it's the network and that I should just shut the phone off for 1 minute and it shoudn't do it anymore. Well it still is and I have been shutting it off all night. I use this phone for work and I can't have client's calling me and getting that message because they arn't going to keep trying back. And I don't want to have to change companies because I can't change my phone number. Does anyone have any suggestions, this is really frustrating me. Thanks

A friend of mine had that problem. He did not even notice it until I told him I was getting a "Disconnected" message every time I called him.
Definately call up Tmobile (and follow up with emails) to their customer service representatives. If the problem cannot be solved immediately, ask for a "trouble ticket".
For my friend, I got the disconnected message on occasion and on other times I got connected to him. From this, the issue would most likely be occuring when it was forwarding my request to his voice mail. My friend got his voice mail reset (several times?) to get the issue fixed.
Good luck with your issue. I would definately "kindly" ask for assistance with the Tmobile reps on the phone and also ask "kindly" by email. It seems like there are some Tmobile workers here on the forum, and it is unclear which messages are from real users or real workers.

I had that problem a while ago. It seemed to occur if the person dialing my number did not use the area code first. EVEN if they're calling in the same area code, ask them to dial it anyway. That seemed to solve my number disconnect problem.
Don't forget, even if you change network providers, you CAN take your number with you.

call and speak with Tech support. You have to call when the issue is occurring so that it can be duplicated. You will probably need a Trouble ticket.

Dear Transamgirl:
I spoke with a rep from Tech Support earlier and also mentioned the problem you are having. He told me that he has heard of that happening before, although it is rare. I don't know if it's a viable option for you or not, but he suggested perhaps changing your number. But that of course is entirely up to you. Keep me posted...

They need to check your location to see if there is a know issue in the area, if there is it may or may not be an estimated time of when the issue will be resolved, a service log can be issued in which the information is sent to the field technicians, unfortunately the customers don’t give the proper information needed in order to properly submit the request, what type of handset you have, how long has the issue occurred, what happens when you call out, what happens when someone tries to call you, have you ever been able to use the handset at your location, if a service log has been issued a number will be given to check the status
Giving the physical address is the vest help, if there is a problem in the area it will show up when entering the address given and yes T-Mobile is working on having customers have access to the coverage maps that Customer Service and the retail T-Mobile stores have don’t know when it will be available though

It is not a cell tower related issue, so checking your won't dictate anything. What you need to do is call customer support, be transferred to TSG and alert them of this fact, have a trouble ticket created and wait for their advanced tech department. Also point out the fact to them if your number was ported in, it very well could have been an issue in the port process. Port (brought from another company to tmobile)
