Hello, i have a samsung e317, i just bought a data cable that comes with the cd for the driver but the problem is i can't seem to find the actual software so ill be able to download stuff to my phone, can anyone tell me where i can find that software? thanx

Hi. If you have the driver for the cable can you share with me? I have not been able to find it! The data software is downloadable at http://www.samsung.com/support/ProductSupport/download/index.aspx

I have a similar question, so I'll post here instead of a new topic.
I also bought the data cable with the USB driver for my e317 (not from Samsung). I downloaded the PC Studio II Image Editor (Samsung's website described it as a ringtone/image editor), and while it does let me edit images, I can't seem to find a way to upload the images to my phone. The software doesn't even recognize sound files. Do I have to buy another software package, or am I just looking in the wrong place?

Download the SGH-E317 PC Studio PIMS (ver.1.0) from where you downloaded the Image Editor. PIMS is the S/W to handle the upload and download thing.

The PIMS software has a funtion called "file manager" or "manage files". From the window that opens there, you can upload download ringtones and pics to/from your phone. But it does not seem to have any way of editing or creating ringtones.

I went to the above link and cannot DL the files It keeps telling me the files are corrupt. Is there any other place to get them???????

I did what you said and I the "phone" icon is not lit. I am not able to choose that option and I cannot download pictures from my phone onto my computer. Help!!!!![/quote]
