Hey I recently upgraded my phone with Cingular. I went to a store and just told them that I wanted to upgrade and I could. But my contract was up. BUT I know you can still upgrade it. Go to cingular.com then click login and then login. Then on the left bar click my phone. Then click upgrade your phone. Then find the number you want to upgrade and click upgrade phone and viola.

Unless your contract has expired, you will not be able to get another phone for cheap at Cingular.
You best bet is to find one on ebay. Make sure it is an unlock phone or locked to Cingular assuming that is your currrently provider.

You can purchased a new phone from Cingular; however, the price is retail.

Ebay auctions have phones that are brand new and unlock. Normal saving if purchased from ebay is between $50 - $200.

The term unlock/lock phone refers to compatible sim card. Whereas, if the phone is locked, it means that the phone is locked to a particular service provider. Any other sim card will not work and you will be prompt for a subsidy code.
On the other hand, an unlock phone means that the phone is not lock to any service provider around the world. Any sim card will work. It is an ideal way for traveling oversea.

Depending on which service provider you have, I would choice the Moto V551 or V600, V400.

If you are into modding phones, these phones are easy as compare to some other phones such as the V220. icon_biggrin.gif
