UI had a V551, I am getting a new V551 -- several months have past between the two. Is the OS/firmware any improved? And if I need help with some modding -- I promise to endemnify anyone who would help me --would anyone be willing to help me?
Thanks

Let us know how we can help. Anyone here who has the answers will surely respond.
As for the new OS, I do not know if you will have a newer firmware or if it has been upgraded.

this is not a reply but more of an inquiry,
I'm thinking about getting the v551 myself, I heard battery life sucks how was your experience with it?
I am now using Treo600 (GSM) and having problem with cingular wireless mode dropping call and sound interference.
I am planning to use bluetooth headset and will try to sync it with my Mac running OS10.3.8.
they said that iSync will not work and i will probably have to use USB data cable to transfer.
Any thoughts on this before I plunged in for it? any help would be appreciated.. I've lost over $400 with the Treo600 that only last me 14 months.
thanks

battery life was great! I had some problems with the phone powering on and off on its own... and I could only have the backlight on for 20 seconds...when, I know there are/were some V551's out there with the old options for backlighting of 20, 40, 60....that is why I went with the Nokia 6620. I love the Nokia, with a few exceptions.... one such one being changing the length of the backlight is not an option ---- UNLESS someone knows sometihng I don't/
Otherwise... you'll probabaly do fine with the Moto.
lemme know what you decide.
