Hi, I've been lingering around the forums for a while and didn't find an answer to my question so I thought I'd ask.
I recently transfered my number from AT&T (on the TDMA network) to Cingular, which by the way went very smoothly, and am wondering if there is a way to extend the number of rings before the voice mail picks up? I talked to CS earlier and they said no, but it sounded like she just wanted me to get off the phone. I'm just trying to confirm what I was told, and if there is a way, I'd greatly appreciate to know how I can do this.
I have a LG L1400 and am with Cingular.
Thanks in advance.

I really don't know why they told you that. I've called and had mine set to the max 25 seconds (6 rings). How many rings to you have now before voicemail picks up?

I currently have 4 rings before the voice mail picks up. See, I had a feeling she tried to get me off the phone asap. :p
So the only way to do it is to give them a call, correct?

Yep, they have to change it. After they change it, you'll have to powercycle your phone and then you're good to go. It seems a bit silly you can't change it yourself, but that's Cingular for ya.

Called them back up just now and had it extended. I think she said 30sec.
Thanks again.
