Its an expensive phone (I just bought a new one). I need to replace the bezel, the battery cover (easy) and the faceplate (the 'U shaped' cover that goes around the black plastic bezel).
Anyone know of a site that has a step-by step with pix?

are you sure you have to go thru all that just to replace the faceplate? I'm not trying to replace the whole housing. I know teh bezel just snaps off and on. and the batter cover just slides on. I'm talking about just the 'U' shaped cover in the front. In that picture it appears (link 1) that he has already removed the 'U shaped' plate b4 he even began his guide - how did he do that?

If you just wanted to remove the u-shape bezel, use your finger nail to grasp on the 4 opening slits and slide downward.
