oops

yes Old fool

I used that link and downloaded PK2man and installed it very easily, ran it on its own and have the same problem no connection.

But if its already patched then this is the best download ive seen of PK2man and the first which is a self installer.

Im sure its a simple thing im missing or not doing. eg not running a connection tool which enables pc to speak to v3 via usb.

MPT works fine ..... and i installed drivers and the 6 patches for for PST and PK2man ...maybee i need to get different drivers or another patch icon_angel.gif

as soon as i get things up n running im going to create some Flash video Tutorials for installing these applications which i would be willing to share on this site icon_wink.gif

I know the problem is that pst is unable to talk to my mobile because my mobile isnt connected to the right place with the right drivers ...but its so anoying not knowing how to fix it.

ive removed drivers in device manager replaced with pk2 drivers ...then MST doesnt connect nor does PST so i had to put my windows susteen drivers back in order to get MST to work.

Please help me connect to PST icon_sad.gif

ANYONE?

OK im actually getting somewhere now ...

I went back to my Win xp OS and installed PST 7.2.3

It didnt do the WIN XP hotfix at the end of instalation tho :S (does this make any difference as i cant install SP1?)

i updated all the drivers successfully icon_smile.gif

now my phone is talking to PST icon_smile.gif

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lol

however pst tried to switch my phone into flash mode

with this error message within pst "unable to connect to the subscriber unit, unable to retreive interface handle"

now my phone says >>>

    Boot loader
    07.E0
    SW.Version:
    R374_G_0E.40.3
    CR

    Battery OK
    OK to Program USB
    Transfer Mode

i have a feeling somethings wrong
can you tell me what it is?

What did you click to make it trasfer your fone to flash mode? if it's no doing any thing yet just get out of it.
What are you trying to do? with PST?

well i selected the flash and test commands just to see if it would connect to my phone ...

The main thing i need to do with this phone is Unbrand it and unlock it and enable the video capture .....as long as i know everything is set up right i know where to find all tutorials for these. (but im concerned about that error and not having the xphotfix)

But i would like to make a backup of all the ringtones and games from the phone too before i start anything

i will be doing everything possible with PST .... first i need to unbrand the phone tho ........ which i will do later once i know i have everything set up right.... so the things i am worried about are :-

Why did i get the error message when going into flash mode ... is it because i need to load an unbranded boot loader?

and does me not having service pack1 make any difference to the capabilities of pk2man and pst tools? (no xphotfix when installing pst)

am i going in the right direction?

btw everyone i suggest not using pst 7.1.1 and the drivers that comes with it cos ive downloaded it from more than 4 sources and coudnt get it to work ...go straight for 7.2.3 icon_wink.gif

got a list of folders in P2Kman now too so thats working icon_smile.gif

To flash your fone you need to apply the universal patch ( isx files total) and look for Multi flash flex in your pst folder.

You will need to use p2kman to unbrand and mod video recorder.
How is your main carrier that you will use most of the time?
