i installed mobile phone tools and use the program quite frequently, mpt detects my data cable. I also used pst phone programer and midway, both of these programs detect my data cable connection with my phone. but when i try to use p2k or moto kit both of these programs do not detect my phone. can someone please help me fix this problem. perhaps i am missing a step or perhaps i need a different driver for the data cable.

Did you remember installing 6 different drivers?

The driver should be included with pst. If not, you can get it here.

ok im not quite sure what to do. do you mean install the driver 6 different times. if so i try to install another one and the install wizzard only allows me to repair, modify, and uninstall. Perhaps im just an idiot at computers. could you give me a guiding hand.

well. the trick is to have windows detect the p2kman. It than will ask for the driver. Direct it to the folder and it will auto install all 6.

You may need to uninstall the old driver for it and reinstall the new one.

I am also having a similar problem. I used p2kman on my parents computer, then I used it on my computer, never had any problems. But recently I had to format my computer's hardrive, so everything was wiped. I downloaded p2kman again and followed the same steps as before.... but this time it didn't find the other 6 things to direct to the drv folder. On my formatted computer it only detects the motorola modem, and then does not continue to find the other hardware that you direct to the drv folder. I have no idea why its doing this. Any help would be really appreciated.
