Hello,
I recently purchased a Motorola V551 from Cingular. I have a charging base for it. The model number of the unit is "SP N5032A". It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging though if it's ok to use with my phone. It just says Compatible with V60g V60t V400.
If it helps to identify this unit, it is blue, and has a little clock on the front of it.
Thanks.

I had a V400 then got a V600 which was accidently dropped in the pool. The new phone that I got was a V551, and yes it works with that charger. Most of the V series phones are interchangable with desktop chargers.

Thanks... I found out the answer through some links a night ago or so...
However, I need to have this battery issue looked into. I just did a test where I charged my battery up all the way, and then just let the phone sit. Made 1 phone call which lasted 1 minute 2 seconds. Other than that, phone has just sat.... It is now 24 hours later on the nose. I am on one bar!!!!!!! Not acceptable.

If the phone is new, call Motorola and tell them what happend- they should send you a new battery to replace it because it is still under the 30 day return policy. You can look up their phone number on the motorola website. The number that I used is 1-866-283-6686. Good luck!

I have a v551 and get the same deal, they just burn the juice. A guy at the cingular store said you can buy a lithium ion battery for them and that will last longer but I haven't tried it. I just make sure My blue tooth is off when I'm not using it and try not to play too many games. Having a car charger helps too in emergencies.
