@diskiller: Contact SE Australia and ask them the address.
SE may not have their own services centre everywhere but they sure have authorized third party ones in such case.
Besides, though I've never been there, but seems to me that Adelaide is far from being small remote village, right?
Contact and I'm sure they will tell where to go in Adelaide.

Yeah, adelaides big enough  We're a population of 1 million, and the capital city of South Australia.
Ok, i might ring their service centre and see if there is some place in adelaide to take the phone.
Nokia has several service centres here! I need to take my 8850 in and get the screen repaired (under warranty) before i sell it T610 has replaced it!

Got the following information about the enhancement from a friend (R1L):
- The standby clock comes with new font but still is hard to see the clock.
- The menu system works better and faster
- Network signal has darker color
- No more lagging with the polyphonic + picture (when you received call)
- gif (screensavers) look smoother
- Added 1 language (Bahasa Malaysia)
- camera features/shortcuts to take better pictures:
On T610 in camera mode:
- Pressing joystick up/down adjust shutter speed (not brightness).
- Pressing joystick left/right adjusts color saturation
- Pressing 1 cycles Large/Small
- Pressing 2 cycles Day/Night
- Pressing 3 cycles Effects
- Pressing 4 cycles Timer

Hi, I was wondering what I would need to flash my phone to R1L. Where can I download the firmware and what would I need for accessories? If its not possibile, is there a way that anyone can tell me where the nearest Sony Ericsson upgrade place next to me? Usa MA 01604 Thanks!

I took my phone into the Carphone Warehouse on Oxford Street today and had the firmware upgraded for free under warranty to R1L013
However I was a bit disappointed that the T-Mobile branding hadn't been removed 
The menu system does seem faster and the camera functions are better. Overall I'm happy with the new firmware

PS. Does anyone know how to permanently remove the branding? (I know about the 12, 13, 25 & 30 second tricks  )

hey mate im in the same boat as you!!
but im from newcastle!
id also like 2 kno wen ur fone rings does it make a funny sound b4 the ringtone kicks in, and no my increasing ringtone is turned off!! it makes a sound like an old fone "bring bring" sorta sound then my ringtone works!!
does neone else hav this problem or is it a sony ericsson thing?
also i hav a cd with ova 3000 ringtones on it & also a serial data cable, but no software 2 transfer it, does neone have that software and if so tel me wat it is and where 2 get it, thanks guys
