Hmm...pretty hard to get excited about either the 3220 or the v171; the 171 is probably the most basic boring phone in existence and the 3220 looks so cheap and targeted for the 14-year-old market. I hope you're wrong about the v330 just being a replacement that isn't even offered at retail; it does boast some significant improvements, the keypad being the biggest of all since this is the #1 complaint about the existing 300.

Also, let's not forget that this is the same company that thought the samsung c225 was worth marketing as a whole new phone from the r225, and even sold both at the same time for awhile, even though they were almost exactly the same except for the color screen and messaging! If they can do that, I would think they'd offer the V330 as a legitimate alternative to the V300.

Here's the scoop on the V330. I work for T-Mobile.

The Motorola V330 is a replacement for the V300.
It is being released April 1st, retail price is $199.99.
Improvements over the V300 -
also adds a dedicated camera key, Bluetooth, and a better camera than on the V300. The external Caller ID display is slightly redesigned too. Talk time has increased to 7hrs, up from only 6hrs with the V300. And it's Quadband.

Sweet! Can't wait to finally trade up from my falling-apart Nokia 3595.

Thanks for the heads-up!

The new Nokia was scheduled to release today, I believe, looks like a cute phone with camera! The Samsung is X475 attractive also, reasonably priced, I think it is an attractive handset.

X475 looks pretty sleek, wish it had some better features though... Bluetooth would have been great. Basically same features as E105 just newer and alittle bit nicer looking lol. But still should be a great phone for T-Mobile.

A friend of mine has the new Nokia 3220 with rogers, the phone has been out for alittle while now in Canada. Alot of nice features packed in a pretty reasonably priced phone. Picture/Video quality isnt too great but what do you expect for the price tag on it.

You and me both, Samsung! Speaking of the X475 some people just basically want to "talk" on a phone and don't need all the frills! (ie,, people like me!) Hoping the 300 goes away really, really fast!

Just got off the phone with T-Mobile customer care. I didn't see the V330 on the website this morning and sure enough, when I called the guy told me the launch of the phone has been "temporarily delayed". He said he didn't have a new launch date available, but he thought it would probably be sometime this month.

The wait continues!! I just hope my 3595 doesn't decide to finally keel over in the meantime.
