Just noticed that T-Mobile has now removed the V600 from their site. Since I'm a litle bored tonight I thought it would be interesting to do a quick comparison of T-Mobile and Cingular's phone (not PDA) offerings as of right now, without the 600 or the 330 available, from a website standpoint:
TOTAL # OF PHONES:
Cingular- 19
T-Mobile- 16
CINGULAR RANGE:
Entry-level- 6
Mid-range- 7
High-end- 6
T-MOBILE RANGE:
Entry-level- 9
Mid-range- 4
High-end- 3
Why on earth T-Mobile needs 9 entry level phones (7 of which are currently free) is beyond me. As you can see, without the V330 and V600 available, their overall distribution is much poorer than Cingular's right now.

I wrote a email last night sort of whining about the no v330 issue, basically saying I was SO looking forward to the phone (which I am), and I'm slightly miffed that it's not available. I even offered to buy myself a new contract and v551 ( I just ended my 1-year with T-Mobile). Here is a copy and paste reply(some items ***** for privacy):
Dear *******,
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile.
We understand where you are coming from and we do not want to lose you
as a customer. In T-Mobile's ongoing commitment to ensure the best
product experience for our customers, the April 1 launch of the Motorola
V330 has been delayed until further notice. We do have other bluetooth
handsets that may interest you. Below, I have listed handset offered
through our handset upgrade program that offers bluetooth. The price on
the left is the price if you agree to a 12 month contract extension and
the price on the right is if you do not wish to extend your contract.
Nokia 3660 $219.99 $279.99
Please let us know if you are interested in this offer. We look forward
to hearing from you.
If you have any further comments, questions, or concerns feel free to
contact us at anytime.
Thank you for choosing T-Mobile.
Sincerely,

So instead of a cool clamshell phone, I can get a bulky Nokia! That was my response....Aloha Cingular! Let's see if they really DID raise the bar!

kinda outrageous actually...now they've taken out the Nokia 6600, bringing them down to just THREE mid-range phones, all of them older! I don't understand what's going on over there but they better fix it soon! They have nothing suitable for most mid-range customers right now!

last saturday morning i put in an order for a couple of v600's with new service. after the rebate, the phones are free, which i like. i'm not happy about having to go with the v600 but, as we all know, the v330 appears to now be vaporware. i'm just hoping the 600's work out.
i'm getting a little nervous about tmob. i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, with the 14-day return period. i am leaving verizon, and my dad is leaving cingular. neither company was even remotely interested in keeping us as customers. i remember when companies used to bend over backwards to retain customers. how times change.
cheers!!

Another poster mentioned the v330 being pulled/canceled. Did he mean to say that the V300 was pulled and canceled along with the V600, or have all three phones been scrapped.
If so I'll be bummed, they gave me a V300, and promised to swap it out for a V330 when they arrived. I called just before the 14 day period, and the Regional Rep said it was still good to go. I really don't want a V300, was looking for bluetooth, hopefully they'll have something new coming, even if it's just the V635 or something similar.
Or better yet, hopefully the V330 is still coming out and due soon now that the V600 is no longer available.

I spoke with a Tmobile Rep a couple of days ago and said that they expect the phone to be on their website sometime next week around April 26 or 27, 2005. I also found the phone on www.hellomoto.com. They have the V300 and V330. Here is the exact address. http://direct.motorola.com/ENS/phoneselect.asp?country=USA&language=EN S&productid=29298&web_page_name=OTHERPHONE

We have also been trying to get the v330 but were told that t-mobile had to send all the ones they had received back to vendor - software issue? Have you heard anything?
