I have been following this thread for a while, waiting patiently for v330 to become available. However, I am up against a deadline and have to make a decision by Wed, 4/27 for new phone and new service. I called tmob stores today, no news. Motorola does have v330 on website but no way to purchase.
The v300 ane v600 still show up as available on myrateplan.com, I am tempted to order it and see what happens. I really like the style of the v300/330. Also considering Cingular with v551.
I wanted to go with tmob because of family/friends, but obviously their phone selection is dismal. My must-haves are: Motorola, clamshell, speakerphone, camera, gsm. Nict-to-haves: bluetooth, tmobile. Any recommendations on alternatives would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Well, since one poster said the V330 would show up by 4/27, why not settle on a backup (maybe the V600; those tiny buttons on the V300 get old fast) and only go with it if the V330 hasn't shown up by then?

Has anybody ever had problems with T-Mobile support emailing you back? I have written two emails in the past week regarding this situation and I still haven't heard back.
Ive about had it with T-Mobile.

Is it really worth the wait for this phone? Is it all hype?

I doubt that it's the greatest phone ever. It's just that the alternatives are so paltry right now. Tmobile hasn't introduced a new mid-range phone in such a long time. Their grand total of two mid-range phones are both big disappointments for me.
My position is, I'm locked into a (good) contract with T-Mobile, I don't want another cheap entry-level phone that will just fall apart like my 3595, and I can't afford/see the need for either of their high-end phones.
So when the V330 finally comes out, it will be the best option for me and it's worth waiting a few more weeks for. Unless of course T-Mobile picks up the Nokia 6822 and it shows up sooner!

So I ordered the v600 from T-mobile last month and they sent me the wrong phone so I sent it back. When my v600 never came I called and asked what happened they told me that in between the time I sent the "wrong" phone back and when I called the v600 was sold out (recalled, replaced) and there would be no way for me to get it. They then told me the v330 would be the only choice and it would be in a two weeks. Like I said that was almost a month ago. I called t-mobile yesterday they said the release date is now unknown and to call motorola service. Motorola said the v330 would not be released for almost TWO MONTHS!!! That would make it 3 months I'm waiting for this stupid phone that isn't even what I really want.
T-mobile is going to lose a couple of customers if they don't get there act together.
Should I switch to Verizon or Cingular??

You can still get the V600 from Amazon, for free (actually $75 cash back) with a new line of service. Since T-Mobile didn't come through on the phone you thought you were going to get, can't you get out of whatever deal you have with them?

I'm not eligible for the amazon deal because I'm not a new line of service. Yes I can get out of the deal, but should I? I used to love being with T-mobile...the plan I have is perfect, inexpensive and the friends/family rate is great. But I am just wondering why they seem to have gone down hill fast with their embarrassing selections of phones and with customer service. I mean after a month of dealing with this they still are trying to charge me for the phone I never received. I keep calling and they say they are going to fix my balance on my account but they never have.
Has anyone been with Verizon before? Are they a little more professional?
