I recently got an unlocked at&t v505 phone from a friend, I was gonna get the v300 but i hated the button setup. Anyway the v505 works fine, i can send and recieve calls with no problem, but i cant seem to get the web browser to work. I've tried changing the setting a few times but nothing works. Can someone tell me if theres anything else i should change to get my v505 web browser working with t-mobile. Sorry, Im not too phone savvy i just upgraded from a samsung r225. Thx greatly appreciate feedback.

you can call Tmobile, they can snd settings to your phone, or tell you how to configure it.

OR if you refer back to the Tmobile Talk Forum there is a sticky for people with this exact issue. Follow the link to get the settings sent to your phone.

If you are manually configuring the phone for O2 then just rename the Tmobile Profile to O2 Browser Settings or whatever you want and then change the setting for the O2 wap deck.

My problem is rather similar. I just received a Panasonic x800. The device works great as a phone; howver, I cannot seem to configure the web settings correctly. While my Samsung SGH-715 pulls up T-zones nicely, the x800 does not. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

You will need to call Customer care to get the manual configurations for that model as the DOTAC system only has the OTA configurations for the Panasonic GD87 and the GU87. Call 1-888-937-8997 or *777 for your mobile phone.

Thank you xXxSamsungxXx for your suggestion. T-mobile Customer Care is trying their best. They, like you, are very patient and helpful -- you all put with folks like me!

Managed to set my O2 browser as default. However it took some nice unbranded mms files.
You can't rename/delete/undefault the t-mobile browser unless u find unbranded mms files - otherwise you're stuck with it.

Thats wierd, I flashed my Samsung X426 with X427M firmware from cingular, after this happended my phone was set up to connect to M-Mode (cingular wap) I just went in and changed the name from Cingular Wap to Rogers Wap and manually configured myself... (because I know the wap settings inside out for rogers). After that there was no trace of any Cingular wap settings on the phone. I then did the same thing for the MMS settings.
