Hi, Im new here and a bit desperate too. I have a T-Mobile V300 and recently unlocked it. Unfortunately after a 2 weeks of using it the backlight suddenly stopped working.

I have changed all the settings and even did a master reset but the backlight still wont turn on. The phone still works though but its too dark, I barely see anything on the screen.

Can anybody please help me.

Thanks in advance.

try this...

set the backlight to about 75 %
Settings > Initial Setup> Backlight

then adjust the contrast (play with it a little)

Settings > Initial Setup> Contrast

I need help. I can find the guide to flash the V300 to V600 but cannot find the Flash or Flex files to do it. All links seem to be dead. Also, can you select the 850Mhz band now after the flash? I'm using it on the Cingular network and 1900Mhz sucks.

Thanx

The flash files are available here http://www.motoaide.com, you can use the 850Mhz if there is a tower in your area that supports that bandwidth.
