Yes, I seem to have followed the craze and bought the T720. I want to customize it, but I don't want to buy the cable unless I have to. Is there a way to upload pics to my phone through the internet? If so what programs must I use? Oh by the way, if anyone knows where I can find Utada Hikaru ringtones please let me know.
Can this phone handle MP3's?

I am also having trouble figuring out how to download wallpapers and receive ring tones and I have gone through every thread here and I am still getting dead ends, or the instructions are not quite clear for me.
I am hearing alot about data cables but when I looked it up on the motorola site, this is what was said:
"The current data kits will only allow synchronization of your contacts and calendar with a computer and to use your phone as a modem. This data kit will not allow the download of entertainment including wallpapers, ringtones, pictures, etc. We do not offer a cable or download kit to transfer entertainment by cable."
I am very very confused. =(

I don't know exactly, how much the cable costs in USA, but I think that it will be cheaper to buy it, and download some software(for free of course) then pay somebody for service, and then pay for conection (does wap cost much at your services provider?)
Also I'm interested if t720 can run mp3's ; in settings>Phone status>Other informations>I can find "mp3 ready" information- what does this mean?

I'm guessing that there's a way to do it since this site seems to have wallpapers and ringtones for the T720.
I myself don't know how to do it but would like toas well, since I just bought the T722i for my wife.

I saw somewhere that you could set up a web page and download your graphics and tones from there. I tried, but I must not have it set up right. Does anyone know how?

I tried and tried and tried to upload a picture or a ring tone, I dont like paying for each one.
I have a program that lets me connect to my computer with my cell via net. It keeps giving me errors about it when i try to download a ring tone. But when i read the book, it doenst help me. "HighLight what song you want, click the middle button and goto download." GRRR still doesnt work

I'm having the exact same problem! I have a logo for my small business I'd like to put that as the wallpaper on my T720 and I don't want to buy the data cable (why buy the cable for ONE image?). So I'd like to find out how to basically get the logo from my computer to my phone!

This won't stop the cost of gprs/wap connection but i found a site where i could put in my own picture and download it directly from the wap site. Very handy since i can't afford a data cable (which costs like AUD$50) here in Australia. This is only for pictures though, not ringtones:

Just edit the photo with a photo proggie or use the one on the site.
Hope it Helps..
