What is the process? What program should i be using in MPT's ? I'm presently trying to update it, i don't know if that matters. This mpt seems pretty comprehensive.

try to get update done for now and the install it and will go from there when you get your fone, it's easyer then it's sound. Mainly allow you to transfer pictures , ringtone(mp3), video (3gp) and syc between fone and computer

Sorry to butt in but I just got a V551 yesterday. I purchased the USB cable and downloaded the Mobile Phone Tools software. I know how to use the program to transfer song clips for ringtones. The problem is that when I click the "transfer" button an error message pops up. It says "unsupported format - no conversion possible." My files are in mp3 format on Musicmatch Jukebox. I've also tried to take songs directly off burned CD's. None of this is working. Im very frustrated b/c I've been doing this all day. Does anyone know what's going on?

So have you use melody studio to rip you cd directly, cut and save as pm3 and drop in your fone? it's does not work?

I used melody studio both for getting songs off of my computer and off of the CD. I select the area of the song that I want and save it. Then when I click transfer the error message pops up.
