Walmsley_d, you star!
I've just got a new T68i (the old upgraded T68 was getting a little worn out), and I was concerned at the lack of memory on it (300K free as opposed to 600k free).
I've tried this reset now 6 times on the new T68i, using various timings.
On the 6th attempt I got the best result.
It now starts with the Sony animation, but still has the Orange logo on screen.
It doesn't load all of it's standard pics into My Pictures, and has left all my contacts (including voice tags), email settings and emails, plus all of my WAP bookmarks.
I now have 879K free memory ... over double the 300K it had prior to doing this, and yet it still has the same functionality and look it did before!
Interestingly, the menus and opening of SMS and e:mail is now just over 25% faster too - a nice side effect.
All this is on fireware R6A012.
Thanks again - a GREAT help.
Rgds

The trick does not work for the T610!
I have one from Vodafone, and they
modified nearly everything.
For me it looks like its hardcoded into
the firmware!!!

WARNING!!! Use the 12.5 second trick at your own risk. This trick is very dangerous! I've tried it on my T300 several times, and on the 3rd attempt, my phone hung and then caused a memory error(maybe... ) which caused my phone not to start properly. It displays a "Please wait" message followed with Sony Ericsson logo, and then restarts itself. It's a never ending loop. So I can't do anything with my phone except to bring it to Sony Ericsson service center. Luckily, my phone is on its warranty period.

This trick really works ,
I've read on it at this forum and considerd to do it but i was affraid that my phone (t310) would crash! But that didn't happened. It deleted all the games incluiding the one's i've downloaded, all the pre-installed pics were gone and i only had 2 ringtones left wich i also putted in there myself!!!
I do maked a backup of all the pre-installed ringtones (polyphonic) and of all the colored pictures, because i might need them for something
All i can say is that this trick really works, first i did it 12secs, but half the stuff was still in, then a 10 sec, and then again 12/13
Afterwards i had about 416kb free memory incl some pics and tunes that still were in the phone.
So if you want some free memory, don't be affraid, just try it!!!
If you have any questions about it, you can mail me.

Hi there all fellow Ericsson friends...
This is a very nice thread... and it WORKS
i tryed verious times as well... but the best was this... after a few verious times i looked at my girlfriends phone (also a T68i) and she had more free memory the I.. so what i did was i made a "REAL" reset, as in let the phone do its thing.. and wupti i ended up with.. ALL the original Tones, Themes, Pictures... PLUS AMAZING 918k FREE on the phone... (the pre thing already takes 191k) so thats totaly about 1109k
Now that works nicely for me

Does anyone know if there's a similar trick to do for the T610?
I'm buying it soon and well... just wondering.
