I just purchased a USB connector for my Samsung VM-A680 phone, but I can't seem to get it to work. The manufacturer specified that it was compatible with my phone. I cannot find any drivers or software. When I plug the USB cable into the phone and the computer, WinXP attempts to search for drivers, but it cannot find them.

I can't find any info at all on sprintpcs.com or samsung.com about linking my phone to my computer.

I am trying to transfer screensavers, games, ringtones, etc, to my PC.

Has anyone else been able to link their A680 to their PC? Suggestions?

hehehe...sorry you had to find out the hard way. i think to use the cable with sprint-based phones, you would need to purchase the software from sprint or rat shack. of course that would cost another 40 bucks. i find the cable useful for flashing firmware but for ringer/pics i use infared. that's only because i use gsm-based phones. glad that it worked for you.
