Mark,
Can you explain the service pack 2 that you are talking about? Do you mean Easystudio or window xp?

what verison of easy studio? you never specified that. the d500 requires easy studio v2.0, you can find that out by clicking 'help' > 'about easy studio'. it should pop up with the version you are using. as for the cable beeping, somebody in a previous post said that if the phone beeps when plugging, it's the wrong cable. i'm not sure. you're better off getting an official samsung cable. i read in another post regarding data cable for d500. it wasn't samsung oem cable, ruined the phone. would not turn on at all, so be careful.

Hi Maybe, you just need to go to File then setup and adjust the settings to Usb and the speed is 115200.
shut down the program restart it and it should recognize the phone
hope it helps

I'm having the same problem. I had a Samsung S-500 that worked perfectly with EasyStudio 1 but last week I bought a new D-500 and upgraded to EasyStudio 2 but I've had nothing but problems. It won't recognize the USB connection at all and while it recognizes the Bluetooth connection in setup it won't load the data from the phone. I think that there are serious problems with EasyStudio 2. At least I can transfer my photos using Bluetooth although it is slow and cumbersome using the phone menus. Maybe Samsung will release a new version to fix the bugs, as of now it is unusable for many users and I've tried every setting and restarting the program a million times. At this point I'm giving up until there is a software fix for EasyStudio 2.
