Hello...
My company changed from Verizon to T-Mobile so my old phone won't work. I'm looking for a phone that has:
1) An audio tone every minute or so until I acknowledge a missed page or missed voice message. This is a must-have. A visual cue is not enough.
2) Speakerphone (sorta optional)
3) Clamshell (this is optional, but I sure prefer them)
4) Bluetooth (this is optional too, but I'd love a cordless earpiece)
I'm looking for a phone, not a Blackberry or Sidekick, etc. The Nokia 6010 they gave me is 0-for-4 .
Tried looking through a few manuals for the different phones available, and tried calling T-Mobile and a local dealer. Nothing quite told me what I needed to know.
Any suggestions?
Thx,
O.

I have a motorola V600 with Rogers Wireless, which is also supported by T-Mobile. I've had mine for about 2 months and I like it alot. It has the features that you are requesting.

The company is balking at the price of the V600. Can anyone tell me if the v180 can give an audio tone every minute or so until I acknowledge a missed page or missed voice message. A visual cue is not enough.
Edit: OK...found a good rep in town. Looks like the v180/v300/v600 all do that. Nice to find someone pleasant, intelligent, and helpful. The last guy I had on the phone practically laughed me off the line. Sheesh.

Would be interested to know what you end up going with. I'm a T-Mobile rep in South Florida. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. We're always here to help.

Well...after a huge delay (nothing's easy or fast in my company ), I have ended up with a Motorola v180. Was hoping for the v600 because I really wanted the bluetooth earphones, but couldn't justify the added expense.
I've had the v180 for a few days now and all seems OK. I like the menu navigation and the feel of the handset.
Sure do wish it had a cradle, though.
So there you have it. Thanks for your interest,
O.

No freebie for me. With our terms I was lucky enough to get permission to switch from the Nokia they originally gave me. Ahh, bureaucracy.

Hey Samsung:
Do you think opus might be able to find a decent v600 on e-bay for a reasonable price?

I bought mine there for 200$ US, was the same price as a new activation at the time. So yeah you can get an alright deal. I keep my eye on the auction they really dont get much cheaper then 150$ US for one in decent condition.
