Hi,
I recently got my V550 wet and now when I try and turn it on am greeted with...
Boot Loader
07.E1
SW Version: R376_G_0E.65.25R
OK to Program
Connect USB Data Cable
Any ideas what I can do to reset this?
Thanks
Mike

Nope it hasn't. They've complain that their phone's backlight does not work after the phone has been dropped in the water.
There is not much you can do but dry it out and see what is not working.
Try reflashing the phone.

if it is a brownish backgroung with loads of writing on the screen in 'smaller' black symbols... then your bootloader is corrupted....
you'll need a 'monster' pack i think.
if you 'recently' got it... return it (missing out the water story bit )... saying it was left in an office draw or something.

Thanks for that.
No corruption I don't think. I would return it but I'm living in Portugal now and I bought it in the UK.
I'm really sorry to sound like a total novice - but I am! - How do I reflash the phone?

What ever happened with your phone? I have a Motorola V400 that's been showing the same msg for 3days. I have taken out the sim card and the battery, but this msg still wil not go away. Everybody I've asked @ Cingular tech support acts like it's da mystery of the century!

Feel free - appreciate the backup even if I am right - and the opportunity for a bit of friendly banter is what we need around here (IMO) anyway.
