The ATT phones for sale on eBay are actually hot items. The reason being that all of us old ATT customers that were bought by Cingular cannot upgrade our phones unless we sign a new contract with Cingular. My old ATT contract gives me SOOO much more for less than any plan Cingular could offer. When my phone breaks, or is too crappy to use anymore, i have to purchase an older one from eBay. I will be doing this till my contract with ATT expires. Also, according to cnet.com, ATT is going to be resurrected this year by SBC to attract older clientel that trust the original ATT logo and name.

I'm an "old" AT&T customer from prior to Cingular. I have a plan called "Business Digital" and am using an Ericsson R289LX.
What would be a good choice to replace this phone with? Should I look to eBay? Has Cingular been dropping these lower priced plans when the contracts expire? Thanks for any info.

do you mean the 14.99 with 60 minutes?
after the contract expires, you'd be on a month to month basis, no change.
your only option for a digital phone would be going through a place like ebay, as they are not manufactured anymore.

if your useage is that low it may be less expensive if you go to a GSM prepaid plan...a 25.00 pay as you go has a life of 90 days...the only downside is you will lose your number...upside 25.00 every 90 days (pending used airtime) vice 14.99 plus taxes a month
